5 Unique Ways in Which I believe I have human capital:
1. Natural born desire to be victorious. No matter what I set my mind to, I will not be defeated. Whether that is on the playing field, in the classroom, or in life, I desire to win and be the absolute best at what I do. If I fall short, I merely get up and try again.
2. Excellent people skills. Through working as a valet attendant in high school and brand ambassador for numerous companies while here at UF, I have developed people skills and have learned to interact with other in a business environment. Selling new ideas and dealing with people face to face is something a have a lot of practice with, and it separates me from a lot of kids my age.
3. I do not compromise who I am for anyone or anything. This day in age, a lot of people a flimsy in their roots and can be swayed by mere persuasion. However, I am not one to do this and I am a firm believer of sticking to one's beliefs and morals. regardless of successes or failures.
4. I am a natural born leader and when I want to accomplish something, especially with a group of people or friends, it gets done.
5. I am excellent at motivating others and lifting their spirits. This day in age, it has become popular to tear others down for the purpose of laughs and jokes. However, I believe having this trait is a vital part of being and entrepreneur and working well with others.

In this first interview, one of my friends touches on the leadership qualities that he has seen me display throughout my life. Whether this came in the classroom or on the basketball court, my friends knew they could count on me for leadership and guidance.
#2.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxfclsApBg8
This interview touches on my responsibility and time management skills. If I need to be doing something, I will not be fooling around with trivial things preventing my accomplishment of something great. I am usually the guy that gets made fun of for being the library while everyone else is out partying.
#3.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FaN4QO7w0k
This third interview touches on how others view my personality. He states that I am very friendly, genuinely nice, and put others before myself. As an entrepreneur I believe it is crucial to be very personable with others because nobody will work with someone who they do not like.
#4.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mESau7Lz_uc
This interview describes my way of thought which was described as "taking things from a different angle or perspective". He also states that I am a hard worker who often is able to give good inputs and ideas regarding certain situations.
#5.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXg1q4VbSms
This interview talks about how I am firm in my friendship and selfless towards others. Many times, especially in the business world, people will play you for who they are and what they want. This is not the type of person I am, and what you see is really what you get. I want to be known as reliable and loyal, not only to my friends, but to employers and business partners as well.
When looking at the responses I received from my close friends, I realized that a lot of the things I was characterized by were not merit-based, but rather by my actions and how I treat others. I believe this is because friends see you and accept you for someone who you really are and not some person with a title or cool job attached to their name. I feel like this translates well into the business world, because although someone might have great credentials, it does not necessarily mean they will make a great business partner. I think I judge myself more off of accomplishments than my friends did, but I do believe just about all they said about me was true. If I could go back and edit my list, I would most likely include the parts of my different ways of thinking as well as time management skills and responsibility. Overall I was very happy with this assignment and found it interesting to see what some of my best friends had to say about me.
Hi Bryce,
ReplyDeleteYou're friends seem to really respect and cherish you. That means you must be a good friend. You're leadership characteristics definitely shine through in the interviews. I would love to hear what drives you to be a leader beyond the characteristic itself. Like, why do you always want to get stuff done in a group? Have you always been this way? I think a lot of people have leadership and people skills but what makes you truly different are the experiences that create that drive within you. Hi Bryce,
ReplyDeleteYou sound like you have excellent qualities. Especially the quality of staying true to yourself. You're right. Too many people are too easily moved to change themselves for little to no reason at all. Your friends seem to agree with your assessments of yourself! These all sound like great human capital to have for entrepreneurship.

Hey there Bryce,
ReplyDeleteI thought you did a great job of identifying your own strengths. I was a bit taken aback (in a good way) by how certain you seemed about these strengths. People often have self-critical tendencies so I assumed it would be difficult for people to declare with such conviction their own strengths. You did so. Perhaps this has something to do with number 3. Your friends seem to recognize this and appreciate you. Great work.
Hi Bryce. Your friends had such nice things to say about you and it seems like you have very good qualities about yourself. I think you did very well observing your own strengths. Being able to lead and motivate people is extremely important, especially in higher level careers. Not only did you identify your strengths well, but you articulated them with a lot of confidence. I tend to be shy so this would be a bit more difficult for me. Nice post.
